In June 2016 the City
Library in Sofia was
organized its new social project, supported by the management
of Vitosha Nature Park, "Library in the mountains." Readers have free
access to some of the latest titles in the library and everyone receives a free
annual card for the Library.
The initiative
continues on five places on Vitosha - there are situated mobile libraries in
the mountain (Arboretum Children's hospital eco "Lyulin" Momina
Skala, Aleko hut and Black Peak). One of
them is on the highest point - The Black Peak . Everyone will be able to take a
free book from the mobile mountain library. The books can be returned to the
user-friendly place - in the mountains, in the main building of the library ,
the return of books will be issued a free library card.
Anyone wishing to
enrich these mountain libraries can do it by donating some books. The first donations have already made
from visitors to the mountains in the library of the "Momina Skala".
On August 28, 2016,
when the Bulgarians celebrate 121 years of organized tourist movement in
Bulgaria and the traditional march for climbing Black Peak, in the "Aleko
hut at 10:00 am. City Library will hold a mountain readings. some poets, who has won awards from the
National poetry competition "at the foot of Vitosha", organized by
Sofia Municipality, will take part in them.
